Congressman Cory Mills’ First Bill Signed Into Law Honoring Colonel Joseph William Kittinger II
Washington, D.C. — Congressman Cory Mills (FL-07) announced that his bill H.R. 5867, to designate the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 109 Live Oaks Boulevard in Casselberry, Florida, as the “Colonel Joseph William Kittinger II Post Office Building,” has been signed into law. This legislation renames the Casselberry Post Office in honor of Colonel Joseph Kittinger.
“I am proud that my first bill signed into law celebrates the remarkable contributions of Colonel Kittinger, a true American hero from Florida’s 7th Congressional District. It’s a privilege to continue carrying on his legacy by renaming the post office in Casselberry in his honor. He not only endured time as a POW during the Vietnam War but set the world record for the highest parachute jump at 102,800 feet and became the first person to solo balloon across the Atlantic. May his adventurous spirit and resilience continue to inspire us all.” said Congressman Cory Mills.
