WASHINGTON, D.C. — Yesterday, Rep. Cory Mills (FL-07) joined Speaker Mike Johnson, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, Majority Whip Tom Emmer, Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, and families of four hostages taken by Hamas terrorists for a press conference.

These four young adults were forcibly separated from their loved ones, and their families bravely recounted their harrowing experiences, detailing the crisis that unfolded and the ensuing chaos. They shared these alarming accounts to underscore the grave threat that Hamas poses, and to create unified support for the State of Israel from the United States and around the world.

In his remarks, Rep. Mills reiterated his unwavering commitment to the well-being and secure return of innocent hostages. Drawing from his own first-hand experiences evacuating over 200 Americans out of harm's way, he emphasized the urgency of the situation. He pledged to not give up in the pursuit of bringing the innocent hostages back to safety.

“I am a father, I have my prepared remarks but, I am a father, and I can’t imagine the amount of pain and grief that many of these families are facing.”

“Very much like we won't forget America’s 9/11, nor should we ever forget Israel’s October 7th.”

“I'd also like to recognize those brave families. I am praying for your loved ones' safe return. We won't forget, and we won't give up.”

“As Speaker Mike Johnson and the rest of leadership have talked about, the time for talk is over, the time for action is now.”

“We must not forget about those who are still stranded however, including the innocent hostages that Hamas, the Iranian-backed terrorist organization still has in their control. The bottom line is that Joe Biden has proven time and time again he is not prioritizing the well-being of the American People at home or abroad.”
